Pichwai Silk Satin Peach Skirt
A pastoral landscape inspired by "Pichwai," a form of religious painting from the temple town of Nathdwara in Rajasthan, which depicts cows and banana trees—both considered sacred in Hinduism.
For the embroidery, silk is stretched over a traditional wooden frame called an "adda," around which the artisans sit to work collectively. Using fine, hook-shaped ari needles, they meticulously apply beads and metallic threads, crafting the motifs stitch by stitch.
Even a single palm leaf features a complex combination of sequins in varying colors and shapes to create a three-dimensional effect. This is a luxurious piece into which the artisans' skill and passion have been poured down to the finest detail. The lining also uses natural materials.
