Japanese Poem Silk & Cotton Peach Dress

Block printing is a time-honored traditional technique in which individually hand-carved wooden blocks are pressed onto fabric to create continuous, repeating patterns.

The seamless, beautiful spread of flowers, branches, and butterflies across the dress is a feat only achievable by artisans with over 45 years of experience in block printing. This artwork, derived from an original painting by Varanasi, India-based artist Shubham Singh, is inspired by the Japanese spring.
